2 killed in Tennessee truck accident

Two people were tragically killed in an accident between a tanker and a car on a recent Tuesday in February. The truck accident happened during the late afternoon. According to the accident report, the driver of the sedan was attempting to turn left off the highway. He turned directly in front of the fuel tanker. The truck driver had no time to stop and hit the sedan on the front passenger door. The force of the accident pushed the sedan over an embankment. The sedan rolled over, ending up lying on the driver’s side.

Both the 24-year-old male driver and his 29-year-old passenger were both killed on impact. Although, there was nothing to indicate that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident, blood tests were requested for both drivers as well as the passenger. This is standard procedure in accidents like this one.

The family of the deceased passenger of the truck accident may choose to file wrongful death claims against the car driver. Should the evidence document that the driver of the sedan acted negligently and thus caused the accident, financial damages may be awarded by a Tennessee civil court.
