Car accidents will continue to cost Tennessee residents loved ones
A Tennessee man will be facing charges following a fatal accident that claimed the life of a woman and may have injured several children. The accident occurred early one recent Saturday morning and the investigation was ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident. Head-on car accidents like this one can often cause severe injuries.
Four other passengers were in the van with the woman. Three of the passengers were children and one was an adult. Initial reports do not indicate what their current conditions may be. Two of the children in the accident belong to the driver; it is unclear at this time if the other two passengers were related, or if they were injured.
This group was headed to Disney World when the accident occurred. What was going to be a fun-filled vacation for the family ended in tragedy, which the children and loved ones will likely never forget. Any life being lost is regrettable, but the addition of this family being on vacation together and a mother leaving children behind to mourn her passing is nothing short of devastating for the family.
The driver of the SUV has charges pending against him for the fatal accident. Car accidents are rarely easy to recover from, and the family members of victims who are killed may wish to seek a wrongful death lawsuit in addition to any official charges. Tennessee laws protect the victims in accidents by allowing them to seek monetary compensation for loss of companionship, loss of income and medical or funeral costs.
