Fatal Tennessee accident possibly a result of driver negligence

Driver’s education programs attempt to teach new drivers how to be safe on the road and avoid accidents. Unfortunately, there are times when conditions change so quickly that there is not time to react, and possibly no reaction that would be able to avoid an accident. These accidents, frequently caused by driver negligence, can often lead to serious injury or death. For example, the family of a young Tennessee woman is coping with her death today after a fatal crash took her life.

In early August, the 19-year-old woman was a passenger in a sedan driven by a 27-year-old man. In the car with them was a 2-year-old boy. The driver of a sports utility vehicle, a 52-year-old woman, was traveling toward them when she allegedly crossed the center line causing a head-on collision.

Although their conditions are unknown, both of the drivers involved were injured in the accident. The young woman did not survive. The child was uninjured. At this time, there is no information on charges or citations issued as a result of the accident.

The family of this young woman is today wondering how they will cope with the loss of their loved one. Oftentimes, in addition to grief, surviving family members also have to cope with the financial ramifications of such a loss. For example, the family will have to pay funeral expenses. They may also have to manage their future finances without the income the deceased woman provided. However, if the family can prove to a Tennessee civil court that the accident was caused by driver negligence, they could receive compensation for damages to help alleviate some of these financial burdens.
