Horror car wreck — man pinned under car
A Tennessee man was pinned under his vehicle after an accident with another vehicle. Now, his fiance is searching for the people who rushed to help free him in order to express her gratitude. The car wreck happened at approximately 3.30 p.m. on a recent Monday afternoon in August.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 16-year-old boy returning home from school. According to the traffic authorities, the 16-year-old driver was trying to turn into the driveway of his parent’s home when the accident happened. Traffic officials say that the young driver did not yield for the oncoming vehicle as he should have.
The force of the impact caused the other car to roll over onto the ejected victim. Fortunately, the sound of the crash caused several people to investigate. At least five men worked together to roll the car over to free the injured victim. According to the victim’s pregnant fiance, he suffered serious injuries to his spine and torso. Thoughts of the little girl they are expecting kept him going, she says.
Authorities have confirmed that alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the car wreck and also that charges have not been filed. However, according to Tennessee law, the seriously injured victim has the option to file a personal injury claim because driver negligence appears evident. A civil claim may be filed against the 16-year-old driver as well as the legal owner of the car he was driving. A successfully litigated claim may result in an award for financial damages, including medical costs, arising from the accident.
