Tennessee fatal crashes: One man dead and a child injured

A 38-year-old man has died and a 6-year-old boy is fighting severe injuries after being in a serious car accident. Fatal crashes can occur at any time in Tennessee, just like with this case when the man was turning onto his own street. The man leaves behind a wife and two children. The other driver is facing vehicular homicide charges and it is believed that he may have been intoxicated.

According to authorities, the accident occurred when the man was on his way home. The driver of a Chevy crossed the median and crashed into the man’s vehicle. Law enforcement and emergency crew arrived on scene, but the man did not survive the accident and was declared dead. A young boy, who was a passenger in the car, was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Neighbors and close friends are in shock over the crash. An 11-year-old girl who saw the incident described it as scary and said she saw a broken-up car. The other driver may face charges of vehicular homicide and other charges. The accident is still being investigated and has been handed to the District Attorney.

Fatal crashes are typically devastating for surviving family members. The family in this case has retained a Tennessee attorney and may elect to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver on behalf of the deceased.
